The location is superb! A safe quiet street between C. Arenal and C Mayor - so walkable to Sol Plaza/Metro and Plaza Mayor --- and a quick walk west to the Palacio Real and Grand Via is a short walk north that will take you east to the Museo del Prado and then walk down Paseo del Prado to the Thyssen and Reina Sofia Museums. Really centrally located. No problem finding food places with tapas, Mahou (bier), Sangria and the Tinto de Verano. The San Miguel Mercado is steps away. However, we tried to look for out of the way less trendy areas to eat. Various metros are nearby to take you out of the city or to explore nearby neighborhoods. The apartment we had was spacious with microwave, refrigerator and stove top - furnished with everything to make the stay comfortable. There is an elevator though we were a first floor apartment. Wine evenings every night and a simple continental breakfast in the AM (coffee, juice, muffin) with water and soda reasonably priced for purchase. There is a liquor store nearby. Safe in the room also for your passports/valuables etc. While your room number is on the passkey card with the apartment address, I suppose if you were worried about losing it during your daily adventures you could leave it at the desk for safe keeping as there is someone there 24/7 - making it a secure place. Staff was SOOO engaging and super helpful in assisting us to get around the first few days. Definitely would stay there again!!!!

We rented the penthouse apartment and had a wonderful stay. The apartment was clean and spacious, with a sofa bed in the small living area and a double bed in the bedroom. The only drawback was the mattress as hard as rock. The apartment had all the basic kitchen facilities, though there was no dishwasher or washing machine. However, I believe these can be arranged through the front desk for an additional fee. Additionally the little veranda was a charm. There was coffee and tea available in the room, and a complimentary self-service area in the reception as well. The location is absolutely spectacular—just a stone’s throw from the Opera metro station and within walking distance of Sol and Gran Vía. I personally prefer this area over Sol because of its proximity to the Opera building and the Royal Palace gardens. If you turn right, you can walk to all the busy shopping areas; if you turn left, you can enjoy a peaceful stroll to the Opera and the Palace gardens—all within a 7-minute walk. The 24-hour reception made things very convenient for travelers. While there’s no formal breakfast service, muffins are available in the complimentary reception area, and there are plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby. All in all, it was a delightful stay—and we would definitely return!

This is a hotel with a reception. You get a small apartment and it is fully renovated and everything works perfectly. You get a full sized fridge and decent space. The hotel itself is very nice, you get every other day cleaning, sheets get changed on your fourth night, and have in mind room gets cleaned around 2-3 pm so be prepared to not be in the room during that time. Laundry is 5 euros, you get a pod and can use the washer and dryer after that. You also get a mini muffin and orange juice in the morning and a glass of wine at night, complimentary. And coffee and tea all day at the reception. There are many mini markets around the area, but do not sleep on the corte ingles supermarket. It even has ready to take out food, great choices

It was a really enjoyable stay. All staff were very helpful and friendly despite our poor spanish. Having coffee, orange juice, and cake at reception in a morning and wine in an evening was a really nice touch. The hotel had everything you needed and was on a generally quiet street just off a main street to Puerta del Sol. This square was always busy and has access to the Metro. It is easy to find quieter streets, though nearby, for coffee as well as lots of good places to eat within easy walking distance. Also the main places to visit are nearby. Good value for money with clean, comfortable, and good-sized rooms. All you would need for your city visit.

Location is just perfect, close to Opera and Sol. Perpendicular street below has a lot of restaurants and there are a couple of grocery stores near by. But look for Dia supermarket, even if farther. Fridge was full size one - that is really rare and super convenient in the hotels! Complimentary coffee in the morning - actually good. Oven, full cutlery set, including knives and cans and wine openers, glasses. You can save significantly if you buy food at grocery stores and cook there. Room is pretty clean, staff is friendly. Room service is once in two days.
